CubeCOS 3.0 was grandly unveiled at the Bigshare 2025 event after months of hard work from our development team! CubeCOS 3.0 represents a leap forward in product functionality and exemplifies Bigstack’s commitment to the spirit of open source.
Building on its core strengths and flexibility, CubeCOS 3.0 introduces an enhanced interface, more innovative management features, performance upgrades and an improved operational experience for IT administrators. We aim to deliver a more capable and cohesive platform by adding new integrated components.
CubeCOS has always been Bigstack’s flagship hyper-converged cloud platform. After months of intensive development and cross-departmental collaboration, the Bigstack development team, with a strong focus on user experience, has dedicated its expertise and innovation to deliver a significant upgrade to CubeCOS.
A Brand-New Interface Opens the COSMOS View
CubeCOS 3.0 brings a major functional upgrade and introduces a visual language called “COSMOS” as its core design theme. The new interface features a gradient blending of flexible blue-purple tones with vibrant green hues representing intelligence. This visual motif symbolizes infinite potential, reminiscent of the aurora-filled starry sky in the vast cosmos, guiding users into a futuristic, tech-inspired CubeCOS universe.
Additionally, the design embraces a modern aesthetic: borders and colour block edges are noticeably more rounded, and operation buttons have a softer, cuter shape, adding a lively and approachable feel. This creates a smooth and enjoyable interactive experience with every user action.

Beyond the revolutionary software interface upgrade, CubeCOS 3.0 introduces five key enhancements: From Notifications to Triggers, Events and their Analysis, Mastering Cluster Health Status, Introducing Tunings, and Managing Support Files.
1. From Notifications to Triggers
No longer passive alerts! CubeCOS 3.0 introduces personalized trigger conditions, bringing configurable event alert levels on the triggers page. Choose to receive trigger alerts via email or Slack, providing greater flexibility in how notifications are delivered and managed. Upcoming versions of CubeCOS will support customizable response actions and enriched event descriptions for more precise and informative alerting.
With intelligent triggers, alerts are sent instantly to user preferences once preset conditions are met, improving event response efficiency.

2. Events and its Analysis
The analysis engine in CubeCOS 3.0’s Events page now includes enhanced filtering and search capabilities. Analyze event details based on severity levels, event categories, and time intervals. Chart-based visualizations for proportions and comparisons enhance clarity, enabling users to identify high-frequency anomalies and support proactive maintenance quickly.

3. Mastering Cluster Health Status
On the CubeCOS 3.0 homepage, the Health section provides an instant overview of cluster status. The detailed Health page displays comprehensive cluster information, including Cluster Link, Cluster Sys, Cluster Settings, and HA Cluster status over time, along with detailed error reports.
Evolving from “view-only” to “one-click check and repair,” users can now click the "Repair" button to perform both checks and fixes simultaneously, swiftly resolving cluster issues and significantly reducing system recovery time.

4. Introducing Tunings
CubeCOS 3.0 offers an intuitive GUI that allows all users to tune capabilities previously hidden within CLI instructions.
With nearly 70 tuning options available, users can customize settings in three quick steps: edit key-value pairs, select the target node, and apply changes instantly. Enables users to fine-tune configurations with precise control tailored to their specific operational requirements.
